A Facets of Fire diamond is a specialty-cut natural diamond designed to dramatically enhance how it handles light—especially its sparkle and rainbow fire. Unlike a traditional diamond (which typically has 57–58 facets), a Facets of Fire diamond uses a patented process that adds hundreds of thousands of microscopic “nanoprisms” onto the bottom (pavilion) of the stone. These nanoprisms act like “facets within facets”. They break up incoming white light into more intense flashes of color . The result is significantly increased brilliance (brightness) and fire (rainbow flashes), starting with a high-quality natural diamond (top 1% of rough stones).
